Hi Y'all and welcome to The Roost!
I am still learning a lot about myself, but here is what I know so far: I am a wife, mother, essential oils user, and shop owner. I am seeking to find a balance between the different aspects of who I am and what I enjoy doing in my life. I really just want to live as close to whom God wants and has planned for me to be - I hope to find a life that is authentic to who I am and to what my family is meant to be.
This blog is for them. For my family, past, present, and future. This is my space to write about us, and my space to write for them. My wish is that they read this one day and find a giant love letter about our precious life together. I hope, in my heart of hearts, that you feel that what I
put here is real - I hope to acknowledge and celebrate the missteps
that in the end teach me a little bit more about myself and hopefully
put me on a better path than the one I was previously following.
You will also see frequent posts from members of my team who inspire me daily. I am grateful for the contribution that they make here, for their bravery in sharing their journey to authenticity, and for the goodness that they put out in the world.

D. Todd Christofferson said, "
The more we service our fellow men in appropriate ways, the
more substance there is to our souls. We become more substantive as we serve
others in need. It’s easier to find ourselves, because there’s so much more of
us to find." In this regard, this blog is also for you. I hope that other women or mothers who come across this blog and find themselves to be in a somewhat transient stage of life, moving from one phase to the next, one place to the next, one job to the next, one project, one responsibility, one identity on the road to who we are meant to be...may we find a way to relate to one another and help each other to better understand the path that will lead us to our best selves. May we remember every day that personal growth and true healing of the soul comes from turning outward to other people.
I am forever losing the battle that is time management. I am not organized. My house is never totally clean. I am a massive procrastinator. I am a giant control freak. I struggle to get to the gym. I have a hard time taking the blame for things. I'm a sucker for gossip. If I'm actually going to be somewhere on time, I piddle around doing random things which inevitably makes me late. I have a mile long to-do list that has never been completely marked off. Oh, and I spend too much time on the computer.
Those are just a few of the things I'm working on.
I am definitely a dreamer, and my dreams tend to shift at the drop of a hat.
I want so many experiences for my family. There is so much that I dream for them in life.
Thanks for following along - I hope you stay awhile!
