Baby Boy's Nursery Inspiration Board

 photo gnursery_zpsa126bb03.jpg

Here's a little sneak peak at some of the things we're considering for Baby Boy's nursery!
We'll be going a little bit tribal while still trying to include some of those classic little boy touches :)
There are so many other details & fun items that I would have loved to include . . . I don't know how I'll ever choose (or find the bucks to actually make this come to fruition).

We'll be using a lot of things that we already have and trying to DIY as much as possible, but I'm determined to have this little guy's nursery done while he's still an infant at the very least.
Notice I don't say by the time he is born, because let's be real, that probably won't be happening.

What are your favorite places to shop for nursery décor?

Dare to Dream

 photo airstream_zpsc7bde085.jpg
'
I grew up in a traveling family.
I have been lucky enough to visit many incredible places & see some amazing things starting at a very young age.

Until I met my husband, I was also part of a family that pretty much strictly traveled by airplane. We took maybe two driving vacations total. And yet, I remember always wishing we could just rent a big RV & hit the road - it seemed like the ultimate adventure to me.

Now as an adult that dream has gone to a whole new level.
Lately all I can think about is renovating and traveling in an airstream or very cool old school trailer.

I mean seriously, how cool would it be to have before & after photos that looked like this :

Of course I'm certain I am enjoying the romanticized version of this in my head much more than I would reality. I have this idea that when you enter this trailer it's as though you are entering another world that is full of simplicity, coziness, & complete togetherness.

Never mind that Blake & I can barely hang pictures on a wall without starting a marital war.
Let's not talk of lack of space, electronic devices, running water, or the fact that after a few hours my children would likely be screaming and I would be pulling my hair out.
No I prefer the dream, thank you.
Oh.
And did I mention that I've also never been camping?
Like...ever.
But I think if I did it, this would certainly be my preferred method.
We all have "pipe dreams" - what are yours?

While I wasn't cool enough to be invited to the grand opening party ( I know , they don't know what they're missing ) , West Elm has been one of my long time loves , and I can promise you I will be a regular sight in their store from now on .
Sorry BW , consider yourself warned. I will now begin slowly saving for many needed items to complete my kitchen , living room , and master bedroom areas !
Now all we need is a Zara and I might actually consider making Utah my permanent home .
Maybe . . .

Camera Search and a Sick Babe

I have been desperately wanting a new , higher quality camera for a while now . . . pretty much since Annie was born.

The problem is , I know nothing about cameras , so I have absolutely no idea which ones are the most "user-friendly" or would be good for a beginner . I don't even know how to go about researching something like this.

I took to my blogs and looked through posts of the bloggers whose photos I most admire . . . only to find that the cameras they use are far out of my price range and I'm sure beyond my skill level .

I did find that one of them started off with this camera and was quite happy with it :

The Nikon D40.
I am considering purchasing one of these used on Craigslist for a much cheaper price and seeing how I like it for a while.

Anyone out there know anything about these cameras ?
Or do you have a different suggestion ?

On a different note, baby girl has been sick all week , so most of our days have looked like this :

You definitely know they're not feeling good when they keep their head on your shoulder through most of a swim class that they usually love.

I absolutely hate when Annie isn't feeling well.
It is such a helpless feeling.
I just want to take away any discomfort she might have.
And if that means letting her lay on my chest for hours because that is the only way she can sleep , I'll lay here for as many as it takes.

If there were a day to lay inside and do nothing, today would be it.
The sun is hiding and temperatures have dropped to sweater weather.
Ahh June in Utah.
Now all we need is some take out , a movie , and a daddy to snuggle with and things could be pretty near perfect.

Don't worry baby girl , you won't miss a single day of summer fun.
And if you do, mama will definitely make up for it : )
